New Japanese Chairman and Vice Chairman of IGU Working Committees
In the 2006-2009 Period, Mr. Uchino from Tokyo Gas is the Chairman of the IGU Working Committee on LNG and Mr. Kume from Osaka Gas is the Vice Chairman of the IGU Working Committee on Gas Utilization. They talk about their aspirations in the articles below:

Participation in GASEX2006@Beijing
From September 5 to 7, 2006, GASEX2006 was held in Beijing, China. From Japan, Mr. Takahashi, Senior Managing Director of JGA, presented a country report. In addition, Tokyo Gas made three oral reports and Osaka Gas made one oral report.

City Gas Symposium "ANNEX"

On November 9, 2006, JGA organized the City Gas Symposium "ANNEX" in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture. This symposium is held annually for presentation and information exchange on cases of technological development and implementation by gas companies. The symposium this year included 16 oral presentations, 33 poster presentations and a tour of facilities. This newsletter contains two papers from the symposium:
