In October 2020, the Japanese government announced the “Carbon Neutral Declaration” to the world.
In addition, in The 7th Strategic Energy Plan and other energy policies, natural gas is positioned as an "important energy source even after achieving carbon neutral," and e-methane is also positioned as a "next-generation energy source" and a "key energy source for achieving carbon neutral. In light of these changes in the environment, in June 2025, we formulated "Gas Vision 2050“, which outlines the future vision of the city gas industry in 2050, and "Action Plan 2030," which outlines concrete measures to be taken by 2030 to realize this vision.
