What is Biodiversity?

Biodiversity is the state in which a large variety of species live on the earth and in which the ecosystem is rich and well-balanced thanks to those diversified species. Biodiversity is a widely ranging concept that also includes the variety of genes that organisms pass on from the past to the future. Innumerable species form a diversified ecosystem while building mutual relationships that suit their respective environments, and support the global environment and our life.
