River and city cleaning activities and environmental beautification activities We participate in regional environmental conservation activities for agricultural land, which provides valuable large-scale green space in suburban areas, and for rivers, beaches, cities, etc., as volunteers, and we also support organizations that engage in such activities.

Experience-type environmental study at Energy & Gas Exploratorium We engage in activities so that children can think about the environment and find a motivation for their actions through experience-based exhibitions and workshops, and the biotope established on the rooftop. [Toho Gas]
Publication of environmental reports and CSR reports Each city gas utility compiles environmental measures addressed in respective regions in reports, and discloses the reports to the public.

Nagano Tokyo Gas Forest We pursue various projects by creating a forest as a test field to establish a rich natural environment, and forward information so that the know-how and data gained from the projects can be used.

Forest conservation activities through participation in “Companies’ Forests” and support for botanical gardens, etc. We engage in nature protection activities by participating in the “Companies’ Forests” project, which consists of forest protection activities conducted with local people using nature in the area, by co-sponsoring tree planting and forest cultivation activities, and through supporting volunteers’ field activities, public facilities, etc.

Factory greening We work to protect the natural ecosystem and beautify the environment by establishing biotopes and planting trees at factories and in former factory sites and neighboring areas.

Greening of company properties and facilities Each city gas utility secures green space in facility rooftops, inner courts, outdoor areas, etc. Planting plans are made after surveying the surrounding environments and historical backgrounds.
